It’s Tuesday again which means time for another round of Top Ten Tuesday; I like joining in on this meme because I have a set topic to work with. Top Ten Tuesday is a book blogger meme that is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and this week the theme is: Books I’d Give To Readers Who Have Never Read Graphic Novels. I wrote a post recently for Boomergang Books and have also done a First Steps post on the topic but lets revisit the topic.
- Ms. Marvel, Vol. 1: No Normal by G. Willow Wilson
- Sex Criminals, Vol. 1: One Weird Trick by Matt Fraction & Chip Zdarsky
- Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore
- Fables: Legends in Exile by Bill Willingham
- Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
- Ghost World by Daniel Clowes
- Maus by Art Spiegelman
- A God Somewhere by John Arcudi
- Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley
- Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon by Matt Fraction
I never have. I will give them a go
I recommend you get into that
Maus! Yes! I ALMOST requested Sex Criminals from Netgalley and flinched at the last minute – now I’m hearing great things about it. I also need to read Persepolis.
I must also recommend The Walking Dead (of course), and I’ve read several quite good graphic novels on The Beatles of all things.
Great list.
Don’t you hate it when you pass on something and then everyone is blogging about it?
Yay for Fables (great storytelling) and Hawkeye (I absolutely adore the art and the humour and everything about this series; so sad that it’s wrapping up this year)! My brother was recommending Scott Pilgrim to me some time ago but never got around to checking it out

Not looking forward to hawkeye ending
Awesome post! I adored Fables and have yet to branch out much in graphic novels so I’m definitely checking out these titles.
I need to read more comics/graphic novels
I love soooo many of these! And then there are others still hanging out on the periphery of my piles. Need to get on it.
I hope you do
